Tidewater
written by eric b. miller
Tidewater brings together the stories of a war bride on the brink of suicide, a young stock broker living fast in Gay Nineties New York, a bohemian savant and her Greenwich Village salon, a wallflower who repeatedly risks everything, and a disfigured war veteran running liquor in the early days of Prohibition.
Setting it all in motion a generation earlier, an adventurer and an heiress run off to marry. Their sons, a Princeton dropout goes to war seeking adventure; the other, a morally adrift playboy, goes aground.
Love works its transformation in each of these lives, but there remains a distance to be crossed. In ways unique to their circumstances, they attempt this crossing, finding it inevitably the task before every human life wishing itself bound to another.

Little Known Stories
written by eric b. miller
One life ends, another goes on. Little Known Stories is an account of these two lives, of forty years together and the unfinished business death leaves in its wake. It is a story that matches the character of life, where the commonplace holds sway, where tragedy cannot be avoided, and humor cannot be helped. It is also an appreciation of a life that sought a place for itself in the world, and by a bad turn of fate, instead found its way here.
"A beautiful and piercing look at grief handled with delicacy." -- Kirkus Starred Review, 2023
